I'm not watching but is the pitch really the most difficult of the tournament so far?
Not really, apart from offering a little more turn than usual. Taylor's having a shocker, unable to get off strike.

Ross hasn't found his range yet, but it's not too late for him to turn it around. 8-9 an over in these final 13 takes NZ to 244-257. Not bad.

Looks nothing much wrong with the pitch - it's spinning, but we've made it look so hard. Zero #intent from Guptill, Nicholls and Taylor, and KW also struggled to score quickly. Our batting strategy seems to have been to see off their good bowlers...but that means Bumrah, Kumar with the new ball, Chahal and Jadeja. Which means we're trying to score 150 off the 5th bowler.

This is very England pre-2015 esque, NZ's batting efforts in the last 3-4 games. How the roles have reversed.

Okay those last few balls have actually been interesting - one spat off a length, then the slower bouncer just lollipopped.

Uh-oh, rain on the way according to TMS. We really don't want that, our best hope is a Neesham/CDG hackathon.

At the risk of piling on, another reason why bowling first might have been the way to go.
