nah, he's a bit ****. good restrictor but no destroyer
Also, the Pakistan game probably confirmed he finds it hard to exploit genuine spinning conditions. Well it's something to work with if NZ put up a decent score.

They'll need to absorb the spin threat here. Get past this and you've got a shaky fifth bowling option to deal with.
Ooh, thinking of what de Grandhomme and Neesh might do if Kohli and Rohit need to bowl a couple each.

I wonder when people are going to stop believing the myth that a physio can cure an acute musculoskeletal injury by taping it/massaging it/stretching it/whatever.

The straight break king is getting it to rag. Santa to bag a 5fer bowling right handed.
Jaddu always spins it a lot for a finger spinner who bowls at that pace.

He's got a reputation for taking wickets with the armball, but more and more it seems like batsmen and spectators are always shocked when he gets one to turn - like Nicholls today. This isn't a surprise. This is what he does. I'd be surprised if Santa can extract this much purchase without having to slow down his bowling significantly. Jadeja is a freak.

I really don't even get the point in sports teams taking physios on tour.

This is crazy turn. Terrible news for New Zealand given their spin stocks aren't strong.

I agree that the management of muscle injuries is often atrocious, but you can't always assume that it's a tear from watching on TV. Maybe 10-15% of the time it looks like a hamstring or groin strain but it's not a full tear and can be managed for the rest of the game.

If anything we have decelerated the last 6 or 7 overs - definitely time for Taylor to attack a little more.

Think we can write off 285-300 here unless this pair can find a way of getting on top of the spinners. Ross is all jitters at the moment, needs a couple of boundaries to get settled. Also NZ's hitters haven't done that well against Bumrah and Bhuvi at the death previously.
