There's a lot more to scoring rate than changing the 'aggresion' slider like it's a cricket captain game.

Dhoni has done this quite often over the last few years. Once the rr gets to very difficult he just packs it in. And I'm not taking anything away from England here, they would've won anyway. But this is just obvious lack of effort. Just pathetic stuff. We're 5 down ffs

Playing both Rashid and Ali makes Rashid much more effective, it's how we've won a ton of matches.

It just shouldn't be done at Plunkett's expense.

We're really not helped by the fact that they've both completely lost form and confidence at the wrong time.

Plunkett must remain in the side if Moeen is to get back in (he shouldn't) it must be for Rashid or Wood.

If he got out slogging or wildly swung and missed like Pant then it's fine

Here he's literally pushing just it around for singles and hitting along the ground

He's playing very low risk shots. Can at least swing hard

Where do you bat Dhoni ? If he bats at 4 or 5, he will suck all momentum out of the innings leaving the guys who follow him with a herculean task. If he bats at 6, he will be scoring a bit above run a ball which will not be good enough. Probably get him to open leaving out KL **** Rahul and then have Karthick or some one else at 5.

Nah not buying it. There's a clear difference between Dhoni when a) he's actually trying to hit boundaries and failing at it b) when he just decides to give up to protect the NRR/his average.

This is quite obviously the latter.

This has been AUS vs India in reverse but atleast AUS had something to gain from getting a high NRR considering the threat of rain in the future and the match being early in the tournament etc. What is this by India ?
