has the pitch slowed down or is this just good bowling aided by bad batting? feels like i'm watching a completely different match now

This is what differentiates the champion sides from the wannabes IMO - when India were under the pump, they dug deep and found a way back into the game. Afghanistan, BD, West Indies, Sri Lanka, etc. all would have let their shoulders drop and just take the walloping. Really good stuff.

Helps to have quality bowlers too mind. Too good a bowling attack (and overall fielding unit) to keep smashing for so long

****, seem to be losing our way here - I blame Burgey and his attempt at vicarious gambhiring, which sadly seems to have enjoyed a measure of success

Kinda feels like these blokes are batting like there are 10 more overs left than there actually are but it's largely Jos or bust from here...

any other era of indian bowlers would've surrendered by the 20th over here.

Was just thinking that. It's already nearly time to start teeing off when you're 3-220 after 37 usually

It's just a bit weird how this innings has played out

25 runs in the last 10 overs. That is pretty shocking on this pitch. Indian bowling has been quality though.

Especially when Bumrah/Shami have 8 left between them. Nudging Pandya around at 3s seems sub-optimal

Dan Liebke pointing out that England are copying the Australia modus operandi of deceleration after a brilliant opening partnership.
