Despite scoring a bucket of runs Warner does seem to be lacking that extra gear

But if he's scoring this well during the ashes I won't complain

Get to 240 before the 40th with caution. Then go insane. Would you send Smith or Maxwell next?

No caution. You can afford to lose a wicket every nine balls now; why wait?
It's actually not that easy to go from ball 1. Often when you get a bunch of wickets falling, you see the new batsman waste an over getting set.

Warner needs to stay a little stiller at the crease IMO. Moving around too much, getting himself in weird positions

Yeah, this. Not so much people on this forum, but it does annoy me a bit when people talk as if the mere fact that you're batting in the last 10 overs of an ODI means you should magically have the ability to hit any ball to the boundary and you've failed if you don't.

And tbh, unless there's only 1 or 2 overs left, or you've only lost 1 or 2 wickets, nothing wrong with a new batsmen taking a little bit of time to get set at that stage imo, as long as they can up the rate fairly quickly afterwards. Most players trying to whack it from ball 1 seem to end up with 2(3) or similar at least as often as they score a rapid, if brief, cameo.

The main reason I think it'd be perfectly fine if you send Smith in is that it's actually dot balls that really kill you at this stage of an innings.
