I reckon unless WI find themselves in a dominant position early on in this game, they'll probably look like they did in the previous one. Probably the perfect time to drop Munro and bring in Nicholls.A NZ win virtually assures them a semi berth.
The WI looked like they'd given up in their last game. I wonder if they'll be up for this mentally?
If the pitch is decent and the early start doesn't effect things, I suspect our betting will be fine. With the number of big hitting left handers in the Windies top 6 I'd be wary of playing Sodhi. Wouldn't mind if Southee plays though.
Hope the Windies are switched on for this one, would be sad if they petered out after promising so much in the warmups and the Pakistan and Australia games.
Haha Beamers, you've come around. I agree Roach would be a good option.I'd like to see Roach in for Gabriel to add some common sense with the new ball.
I'm not, it's only 1 in every 5 games or so that the Windies actually play for the full 50 overs. Can't see it happening again (like in that warm-up), provided NZ are anywhere close to their best.im concerned about this one tbh. they did thrash us for 400 in the warm up.
I'm not. Things happened in that warmup that wouldn't happen in real game. If we can't beat the WI then we don't deserve to make the semis.im concerned about this one tbh. they did thrash us for 400 in the warm up.
? You were right on that one! I don't care if it's not 145kph just put the damn thing on a good length more than once per innings please!Haha Beamers, you've come around. I agree Roach would be a good option.
Not sure that's fair. The nature of our lineup is that if all clicks on the same day it's basically unstoppable. If that happens then the opposition should be realistic and say fair enough. You'd probably still make the semis by being far more consistent than us anyway.I'm not. Things happened in that warmup that wouldn't happen in real game.
