Very harsh, but I have to say his use of his bowlers in the New Zealand chase was baffling at best.
It didn't start yesterday. I was harping about at last year's Asia Cup and got mocked about it by the usual suspects. Absolutely clueless, yet built up as a tactical mastermind. The commentators crediting Mustaifuzr's two wickets now to his "brilliant" captaincy ffs.

Now he's not going to bowl Mustafizur out for the umpteenth time. What a captain! What unparalled brilliance!

He's had a poor WC. I think the BD think tank had plans and ideas that just haven't come off. Evaluating him on the basis of the WC alone isn't fair. He's been a pretty good captain and a bowler for a good couple of years now and has been one of the main reasons behind BD's recent improvements.

I think they just lack experience in England ODIs and as such some of the decision making has been lackluster. Maybe sticking a bit too rigidly to a plan, or trying funky things for the sake of it. Some pacing issues too.

Having said that, BD haven't been awful. Just wish they would stop opting to bowl first.

Seriously, it's a pattern now. How many times has he done it now? Does he simply not keep track of how many overs each bowler has? Beyond a joke how many times he hasn't bowled Mustafizur out.

Hope's way better than Rayudu given the role he has to play. India needed a number 4 that could capitalise on the platforms set by a powerful top order. West Indies needed a number 3 to bat through the innings holding it together while the others go beserk around him. Rayudu would be a great fit for this team while Hope would be useless for India.

Haha Oshane Thomas has a FC highest score of 18, LA highest score of 13 and T20 highest score of 8 - sounds like a proper bunny.

Haha seriously, I didn't like Mashrafe's captaincy today either. But Tec is just pouring venom as if Mashrafe has committed dozens of murders.
Captaincy is such an inexact science anyways. Mashrafe's entire schtick is shuffling around his bowlers in short spells. He always takes a bowler off after 3-4 tidy overs, unless it's Shakib or a guy who is clearly proving effective in the conditions. He doesn't seem to follow any planned bowling strategy and kinda just makes things up on the fly. Sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you can see him stubbornly stick to a plan that isn't working, sometimes you see him abandon something that looks like it is.

Ultimately the man has been getting results and it's hard to argue that the side has been underperforming underneath him - unlike when Mushy was skipper. So I think he's a perfectly good captain.
