My view before the world cup was that this needed to be strongly considered (although if they went with Handscomb with the gloves I would have gone with, I can't believe I'm saying it, Forkers Faulkner)
Not sure Faulkner would be want to be part of yet another crash and burn in this country.

There's few better to watch than an in-form Rohit, so silky.

Meanwhile, Australia's 1st and 2nd change bowling options look so so ordinary. They may need to reassess their selections.

No more than the rest of us, who are spending a Sunday night posting on a cricket forum ffs
Sunday nights? What a loser...Sunday morning here. I have 3 more months of early morning cricket. Can’t wait for the Aussie summer.

Best for the Australian bowlers to treat this like a t20 at the moment. Wickets aren't coming.

Handscomb with the gloves is a flat out terrible idea.
My view was that expecting 20 overs out of Zampa/Maxwell/Stonis wasn't a particularly good idea either. And this was when I thought Haze would be the third seamer. I'm not surprised they didn't do it, of course, it would have been a bold thing to do

Thought this match might be when two batting lineups. highly dependent on a couple of top stars. could have the rest of their batting exposed now they finally face attacking wicket-taking bowlers like Starc, Cummins, Bumrah, Chahal etc. But nah, looks like a run-fest.
