Not sure how much of a game we’ll get on Sunday tbh, given the week’s forecast. Hope its a good one as it’s a long weekend here and a day off Monday to recover
The forecast seems to be fine at least according to Google. Should be a really good game.

Can see this one being close, but India are favourites. A lot will depend on how the Australian batsman can deal with the Yuzi-Kuldeep threat

Why would India be favourites? They just lost a home series to Aus and that was without Warner and Smith lol
As I have said numerous times before, I really don't think this Australian team is as strong as people seem to think. Australia played their spinners well in the second half of that series, but that won't be easy to replicate in the cauldron of a World Cup game

What? Get up to speed mate, because Steve Waugh, Glenn Mcgrath and Ricky Ponting et all won a **** load of World Cups, anyone born Australian automatically knows how to win them, it's a birthright......in their DNA or some such ****.

No doubt Australian cricket has a long and proud World Cup record, that is obvious. Hopefully that trend can continue, but I really haven't been very confident about their chances at any point, despite starting 2 and nought there are still clearly things that need to be improved on with this Australian team

I would definitely replace Bhuvi with Shami for this game unless there is lot seam movement on offer. Bhuvi bound to get smacked in few games.

Yep, definitely see Bhuvneshwar getting tonked. Besides, he's no longer a threat with the new ball which was his main stock and trade to begin with. Adding Shami makes it a full-on wicket-hunting bowling attack.

Smith makes a massive difference. He steps up against India. India's recent success against Australia only happened because their tormentor was banned. And they still lost the home series even without Smith.
India won the 2017 ODI home series even with Smith. His absence held australia in good stead in the 2019 ODI series.

Let it be. Stephen is gonna jerk over Aussie cricketers all through the tournament. We just have to ignore it.

So are you arguing that Smith makes the Australian side worse?

Look Smith isn't the greatest ODI player but he sure loves piling up the huge scores against India.

Yes, Smith had a poor showing the the 2017 afterthought jamodi series in India but that was after he'd hit three test centuries in four tests.

No, I am not. You mentioned that India won against Aus in ODIs only because Smith was banned. His presence or absence was irrelevant. Aus won in Ind because his replacements and his team mates stepped up more than he would have. Remember Turner playing that innings.

You would have had a point if you were talking about tests.

Actually feel like this one could be close if the Aussies bat first and put up a reasonable total. Neither of the batting combos are in nick yet.

It should be an easy win for India as long as Australia don't buy umpires and don't do any ball tampering like they always do.

Yeah those pesky umpires making sure that the game is played fairly. They should be dropped and only corrupt umpires that guarantee your side's victory should be used.

I know you are tempted. But this is not the way to win matches my friend. Besides, I don't think your ex-captain is that stupid that he will buy umpires only to guarantee Indian victory. I mean he has had brain fade moments in past but this is too much.

Australia to win this, comfortably. Without the help of dicey umpiring, I might add.
