This is the problem with Matt Henry, when it's not doing much he's the perfect juicy-just-short-of-length 135 km bowler for modern batsmen to hit through the line for 6.

If it is doing something early on, he still tends to be a liability in the middle and death.

All said, it doesn't make Southee any less horrible.

We all know Bennett and Kuggs would have been better than both.

Sodhi started well but now bowling tripe.

Completely contrasting bowling effort to the one against India, and this surface is probably more indicative of the kind to be expected through the tournament. Still a warmup game so hopefully NZ get the rustiness out of the way.

Saw this article the other day on Henry: 'I'm most effective when I'm operating at 140kph'. Thought that might mean he's currently operating at 140. That could be useful with the new ball on some of the less flat pitches. But nope, today the speeds have been 131, 133, 129, 130 etc. and that's not putting anyone under pressure.

It's a shame Milne's made of glass, he'd be my pick as the third fast bowler after Boult and Ferguson.

Imagining Milne at his best it's hard to disagree (though my most recent memories of him were 135km/h doing not much). But that also points to the most annoying part of this, which is that all of Southee, Henry and Sodhi at their very best have been really quite good ODI bowlers. Somewhat condition dependent in all cases, but they've certainly performed. And yet all three seem to have plateaued at a level well below their best.

To my mind, Henry was an excellent bowler till around early 2016 and has been mishandled since. Of course part of the blame should probably fall on his shoulders for not evolving to the demands of ODI cricket, but I could never understand him being *always* second choice behind Southee till the latter's lean patch became way too thin recently.

Lol Santner's been the best and consistent of the bowlers and having figures ruined by having to bowl to Russell at the death.

Even with this west indies bowling attack, i don't see our batting chasing 350 + scores. This warm should give us a lot to think about...

And my age old belief of matt henry being a clueless death bowler who somehow still takes consistent fluke wickets..continues

Gah, thanks to this performance we are going to see a lot of Southee in the coming weeks.

boultyyyy. Where would we be without him...its like bond all over again. That one guy in the bowling attack you can count on

First one day international hundred for henry. Oh wait, its warmup. Scary that he still has 2 overs left to bowl.
Holy crap, if it was an official ODI and he'd bowled his last over, he'd probably have ended up with the most expensive figures ever
