Van der Dussen could possibly be added to that list as he's been making runs for the Lions, even if it is T20s. Although it's a little odd how he can have such a good strike rate in that format, yet is rather slow when it comes to the 50-over game.

Nortje out the world cup. Replaced by Morris.
He fractured his thumb last week. I mean...
Nortje is tough to line-up. There is something about his action and raw pace that could have been so beneficial to us.
Also it sounds like Rabada is quite serious. Back injury is described as significant by team manager and 2/3 weeks of recovery is needed so may miss the opener v England.

Dammit on every level. Feel truly sorry for Nortje has had some tough luck. But no Rabada would be a death knell for SA (slim) chances this WC. About all I can say is that at least it is Morris and not Hendricks....

Yep.... injured in the SF of the local T20. But not sure if I would be taking him to WC anyway. Rather Dupavillion
And I think overlooking Philander for Morris is dire. Edit: Oh yeah Philander injured as well.....

Got the chance to comment on this. How brilliant is this. Feel he too was missing out on some 4-day cricket this season so 7 County Championship games in Division One is fantastic for him.
