Faf has been poor overall this year, few important innings but not consistent. His tactics have also not always been great. He is a great leader though.Heads are gonna probably roll after this test series. Elgar and Amla might be out the side. Bavuma is not good enough at this level. He's fought hard but just can't go to the next level. A lot of the batsmen should be seriously looking over their shoulders. Except for Markram, Faf and De Kock, we literally have no one to get us runs. That's concerning.
this looks gettable. huge upset in the making here. What a huge decline for south africa, an embarassing one, in the space of 12 months. 12 months ago they were hammering australia. Now they are reduced to crummy-ness. They now know how australia feel with loss of Stars Smith, Kallis and De Villiers. Its equivalent to australia losing Hayden, Ponting and Gilchrist.Faf has been poor overall this year, few important innings but not consistent. Yeah I'd say it's time to tap Amla on the shoulder. Bavuma is a good 6 but isn't up to scratch for a Test Top 5. Elgar is probably 50/50 - the slump is concerning but it's not as long as Amla's - 12 months ago he was gunning it.Heads are gonna probably roll after this test series. Also wouldn't be surprised if Steyn pulled the plug on his career soonish. Even Philander it might be time to move on.
Well he’s nearly 36, quite injury-prone and no longer numero uno in the Saffers attack. Easy to see him deciding to move on.You reckon?
