So were Glenn Mcgrath and Darren lehmannDon’t pick Gavaskar because he’s a racist scumbag who contributed Nothing to the game but to kick off the well known Indian victim complex which continues to plague their team and fans, and because he never performed against a decent attack here. Seems reasonable to me
You took the job on....Hoo boy do I regret reading this thread.
Why does it need to be closed? Sunilz doesnt seem to be deviating from the topic. He's just giving reasons why he thinks Chappel/ponting are overrated.i mean i'll be a moron and give it until tomorrow, but if it doesn't improve then i'm definitely closing it
Don't buy this home wickets don't count bollocks in general. Don't buy CW bollocks in general.Don't buy this home runs don't count bollocks in general.
Well home wickets count too, obviously.Don't buy this home wickets don't count bollocks in general. Don't buy CW bollocks in general.
Chappell was a middle order batsman . He didn't have to face these guys with new ball. This is a huge differenceGavaskar probably was better than Chapell but an average of 40 against those guys back then is nothing to scoff at either.
I also don't agree with this logic . But someone has to show the stats of Gavaskar and Chappell against top bowlers because Burgey has been accusing Gavaskar of scoring against weak attacks .I don't really like picking top opposition/bowlers. G smith and Ponting were both fine against quality bowlers. Didn't really help much when they were getting murdered by zaheer and harbajan, and it cost series.
Are you doing this? I think Burgeys logic is that Gavaskar played against depleted attacks in the wsc era. Chappell didn't, because he was playing wsc.I also don't agree with this logic . But someone has to show the stats of Gavaskar and Chappell against top bowlers because Burgey has been accusing Gavaskar of scoring against weak attacks .
