Haha wow, who the **** does Karthik think he is turning down runs in the last over. What a muppet. And Southee wasn't that clutch, he bowled one out of 6 in the hole, all at full pace. Just didn't get hurt.

Course he can. I remember Ben Stokes bowling a similar over in a T20 World final that Braithwaite humped for five sixes. Just because the over didn't go for runs didn't make it a good over. Southee is still a liability with a white ball, save the very odd occasion. Zero changes of pace, one decent to be fair bouncer that was a wide unfortunately, and an inability to hit the hole.

Yep, even a tiny bit of better judgement would have put Southee to the sword. And NZ would suffer from it massively ofc. They'll still cart him out to the WC though,,lol. Because he's such a "leader" in the group.

I wonder if Tickner will do anything about that run up. It’s kinda ridiculous but he just about gets enough momentum up from the 6 paces he actually runs. Nice high action too.
