Niroshan Dickwella batting at six would be equally interesting.

There's nothing to choose between Dickwella and Gilchrist; both scored at a very similar strike rate; with Gilly scoring just a paltry 0.67 more runs per innings.
Imagining for a moment that Dhoni did not exist, it would be a toss up between these two for the keeper's spot. As a proud member of the CricketWeb ODI ATG team.

I'm seriously surprised we don't have more modern players in that list with how easy batting has been in the last few years.

I have had a feeling that all of Ganguly/Anwar/Jayasuriya get underrated a bit. All of them tapered off a lot at the end of their career but very good players in their prime. Ganguly/Anwar should be in contention for the 3rd or 4th ATG team.

I've only been quoting ODI stats. Take the minnows out and Murali's average is less than one run different from Warne, their economy difference is .3 rpo and the strike rate difference is less than 2.

But Murali took 120 minnow wickets at under 14. That is noteworthy.

When you remove bangaladesh and Zimbabwe from Murali’s stats, don’t forget to remove his stats vs Australia. It’s only fair because Warne never had to bowl against this ATG team.

Imran Khan as all rounder? Has poor batting SR but averages more than someone like Steve Waugh. And bowling average close to Pollock. Is Imran underrated?

Imran Strike Rate is Better than Steve Waugh if you adjust Era difference.
70+ strike rate is very good or excellent category then.

Imran is underrated in ODis and overrated in tests imo.

Imran might be underated in odis, but I don't think he's underrated in the context of atg sides. He would add a lot to a weak side, but his slow batting and non atg bowling isn't so handy if there are other strong options.

Slow Batting ? His Strike Rate is excellent for the era he played.

World class bowler + decent Bat , I don't think there are many names in that category.
Kapil , Imran .. Botham may be..
