Windies Team Discussion, and Other Related Things Thread

Yes the only time I can remember us doing it is at home against Sri Lanka I think it was a couple years ago. Hales and Roy batted through the innings and both carried their bat.

Guyana's pacers have made light work of TT's batting.

Bowling them out for 108 in 39 overs.

Romario Shepherd with 11-6-23-2
Keemo Paul with 10-2-26-3
Raymon Reifer with 9-3-20-2
Clinton Pestano with 8.4-1-34-3

Chandrapaul Hemraj gone for 22(34) 3x4; 1x6

Ravi Rampaul with the wicket...LBW

Guyana are 36/1

Captain Leon Johnson comes in at #3 to join Tage, who is on 13 (22); 2x4

In the Windwards-Barbados game, Devon Smith batted all day for an unbeaten 146*(257); 18x4; 1x6
Windwards on the verge of a big 1st innings total, but they have lost half of their side for 325. Batsmen to come are little known to be. These are like the really new guys: Larry Edwards, Josh Thomas, etc.

Captain Kirk Edwards made 39(79); Sunil Ambris with 79(109).
For Barbados, 1 wicket apiece for Miguel Cummins, Chemar Holder, Kevin Stoute, Ashley Nurse, and Shamar Springer.

Devon Smith may have a chance of sniffing a double-ton

++++

I don't know if this is a dilemma of sorts.

Ever since Esaun Crandon went over to the Windies coaching job, Guyana hs lost both of their games; while Windies have won both of their.

Looking to have 3 pacers in the top 10

ICC Test Rankings, Bowling:

Holder- 6th
Gabriel- 11th
Roach-12th
Chase-40th
Alzarri-53rd
++++

John Campbell (90th) is already ahead of guys like Kusal Perera (98th) & Marnus Labuschagne (95th) in the batting department.

We really do have an excellent attack when those 3 are fit.

Looking forward to hearing what our ODI squad will be. We know Russell and Narine are out. I'm going with:

Gayle
Hope (wk)
Lewis
Hetmeyer
Pooran
Holder
Allen
Paul
Nurse
Roach
Thomas

Reserves:

Powell
McCoy
Hemraj

Obviously I would select Cornwall but I've given up putting him in as they just won't include him.

But lately, I've been worried about Gabriel getting into the space of batsmen. I think he was suspended for a game in the BD series.
It's really not that hard to not be an utter idiot on the cricket field though. The alternative is to get a hearing represented by Rabada's lawyer.

Keyword is fit. But lately, I've been worried about Gabriel getting into the space of batsmen. I think he was suspended for a game in the BD series.
Tbh I just want him to get through his overs slightly quicker. That would be a start!
