this pressure release valve bowling is why we need 5 real bowlers.

Missed what seems to have been a terrific opening burst again.

This time it'll probably be a test for the support act. Neesham's pitch map all over the place as usual.

I expect Astle to be given a bowl when India are 8 down in the 49th to try and get them tailenders out.

How Rayudu has managed to average 50 over a 50 match ODI career is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

God I wish the commentators would actually watch the game and commentate it. The story of the middle overs is how well Munro has bowled, bowling 95% seam up, and how hard Rayudu has made batting look. You wouldn’t know it based on the coverage because it’s like they are totally disinterested in what’s going on.

Has his whole career been like this series? Because he’s managed some runs but honestly looks like he can’t bat at all. Will probably make 100 here now.

I’m at the match and to be fair it’s been a total snoozefest after the opening bowlers came off. So I can’t blame the commentators. No intent from NZ to keep taking wickets.

**** knows TBH, I can't remember anything he's ever done. Seems like he's bashed Zimbabwe a fair bit. Downhill skiied a century against WI in the last series.

Well, Henry and Boult can’t bowl all 50 overs. The other bowlers have all been pretty poor tbh, but Munro has been excellent

Only time India are scoring is when we bowl short or down leg, and for some reason every now and then we will bowl there just to generously offer them a boundary

Tbf this is often the pattern in ODI games. Just because the new-ball does a bit & you get 4-5 wickets in the first 15-20 overs doesn't normally follow that you roll them easily thereafter.

Batting generally gets easier. I still remember it costing us in the '03 WC when we had Australia 6 down for **** -all, but got greedy and bowled Bond out his full quota early, only to be impenetrable at the end when Lee and Bickel took the game away from us.

NZ are well in control.. anything less than 250 should be a straightforward chase IMO.
