that means southee is either not going to the world cup or he's being rested in preparation for bangladesh, but in either case why bother including him in the squad? he could have been getting some overs in for nd.
i'd have played as many of the least experienced/used players as i could today. boult is going, ferguson is going, santner is going so we need to see the rest.

A Question out of curiosity for you guys....how is this blair tickener guy? I've seen him bowl a few balls in highlight packages and it seems he can push the 140 mark every now and then. Is he genuine pace?
He seems a gun t20 bowler according to his stats and to a lesser extent in List A's. Seems pretty mediocre in First class though. What's the deal with him? His weaknesses and strengths?

bowls pretty rapid (140-145 at a guess), good bounce, tendency to spray it a bit but has come a long way.

Is he the type to maintain that aggression throughout a t20 or list a match though?

A lot of strain in his action so I'd guess he'd drop in pace fairly significantly through longer spells

He's got his tail up here boult...last one 90mph with a bit of movement...he's snapping through that action and running through that crease with pace

I'm sure Henry will come good with more game time. Not like he's been given a trustworthy run with the team over the last 3 years. Unfortunately, southee's consistent inclusions have had a detrimental effect to not just henry but plenty of other bowlers
