Vettori and co? Vettori is one of the ATG limited overs bowlers. But yeah the rest of our attack at the time was fairly poor, Mills would open with a good spell and go missing after the 30th over.

He was a great container, but you know as well as I that he had little genuine wicket-taking ability.

Yeah Vettori was a gun ODI bowler but not exactly someone you'd want to bring on if you thought you were a chance of bowling the opposition out before they batted out their 50.

Not that any decent batting lineup should be overly concerned about chasing a total amassed through losing early wickets and then getting strangled in the middle, but still.

Vettori bought the team plenty of wickets through building pressure. 10 overs @ 40 in a high scoring game is super valuable. He wasn't quite the full package that Bond was (someone that could deliver you 10 cheap overs and get wickets while hes doing it) but outside of a very very limited few spinners, who was?
