What the hell is with this BBL game on today, a workday, that started at 3pm (4pm AEDT)?? At least I see the Heat are 4/52 already so the game will be over before most supporters realise it's on.

This is the third Heat game running that I haven't realised was even on... really not liking the scheduling and promotion tbh

After a lot of thought I'd much prefer Big Bash throughout the season instead of in 1 block tbh. It's not like missing the overseas players would be that big a loss, most of them are pretty ordinary and with a few exceptions there's very little star power there these days.

2 months (or however long) in a row of Big Bash has just been ridiculous

Yeah I thought he might've regretted giving him even the first over given how bad it was (and how unnecessary it was given Freeman's performance), but no, he doubled down and did it a second time. Absolutely got what he deserved for it too.

One of the Heat batsmen (I can't remember if it was Ross or Peirson) said they could see fine but were struggling to breathe. That... can't be good.

Agreed completely. I know Freeman is a rookie but he looked fairly impressive in his couple of overs

Yes, and having been in Tassy the last month I don't envy the blokes. Was a bushfire or two a few kms away during the dig last Friday, air tasted like bonfire which wasn't helped by Tasmanian winds, all the undergraduates were practically dying of heat or breathing issues and it felt 10 degrees hotter than it ought to have been on a 36 degree day.

It looked like one was burning out near Bellerieve on Saturday actually, must be ****ed for their emergency services right now.
