*Official* India Tour of New Zealand 2019

Howsie

International Captain
New Zealand need to play five front line bowlers, have been saying it for months now. Santner, Ferguson and Boult are locks, Sodhi probably should be one too in England.

6. Neesham
7. Santner
8.
9’ Sodhi
10. Ferguson
11. Boult

Kuggeleijn needs a run, would be the perfect number 8 in that team. He’s a better option than Bracewell with the ball, and while probably not quite as good with the bat he’s a much better ball striker (actually they’re pretty close with the bat).

**** Munro off, either play Nicholls up top or bring someone in. Munro can’t go to the word cup.

These wrist spinners pretty much beat SA 5-1. They seem to do better overseas than in home conditions. Btw dont see NZ lasting much longer now. De grandhomme is about to experience PTSD here after his shenanigans in the UAE.

I reckon Williamson has to be prepared to bowl a few overs in ODIs just as Root does.

Latham (yes I know he's good v spin in middle overs)
Guptill
KW
RT
Nicholls
Neesham
CDG
Santner
Sodhi
Ferguson
Boult

CDG to bowl 4 with the new ball - won't be much worse than any of Henry/Southee/Bracewell. Then only have to get through 6 more overs from CDG/Neesham/Williamson

Okay, so when did India become a better fielding side than NZ? It was always the one area we had them covered.

ugh, NZ are becoming Perennial chokers against quality opposition in ODI's. First SA, then Eng, now IND.
More a case of those 4 sides being better than us I'd say. Can't see where the choke was today, we've been behind the eight-ball right the way through.

I just don't understand the thinking of NZC. I'm a big fan of CdG, he's got x-factor and he's probably gonna win you 1 game every now and again, yet they rest him from the Sri Lanka series but also don't make him play any domestic cricket in that time. The guy literally hasn't played cricket for almost a month and then comes in and fails. What did they think was gonna happen?
