Yeah, I'm going back and forwards on the idea of batting down to 8 like England, but with the compromise being CDG, Neesham & KW have to share 10 overs, or batting Santner at 7, & having 5 specialist bowlers.

A Shane Watson-type player would solve that dilemma.

Shame KL Rahul can't deliver on his talent. Definitely has the talent to bully teams on flat pitches in ODIs and score at 120+ SR. Would have filled a big hole in this lineup.

Feel KW, Taylor & Latham need to bat at least 40 overs between them for us to score at a run a ball against their looping spinners.

England's batsmen attack uninhibitedly even if they lose a wicket or two, I think that's the main difference.

Well yeah, hence why they're better. Although it's one thing having that intention, it's quite another to pull it off more often than not.

Impressive Ferguson, India have had their fair share of lucky boundaries today... let's hope NZ return the compliment.

55 runs from overs 40-48 and only one wicket lost. ****ing pathetic.

The mindset of kohli and shastri is honestly incredible. They talk about muhIntent all the time in test cricket but in odis there's absolutely no aggressive intent to step up the run rate except at the very end of the innings. It's all backwards. Going to end up with less than they should have even if they hit some big ones now.

It's 2019, not 2005. You've got to treat odis as extended t20s on flat pitches if you've got a platform set. England have been way ahead of every other team on this, India are still stuck in the past.

Honestly why couldn't they have done this 5 overs earlier, it's not as if India were going to be bowled out. So stupid.

Tbf to dhoni, if he only launches in the last over, he still scores a **** load of runs in that one over.

Horrible, horrible end to the innings for NZ. Everything going for runs. At this point I am thinking Seifert is the better keeper.

Rayudu and Dhoni are both bad at accelerating. We shouldn't be playing them both in the XI. I hope Kohli's love for Rayudu gets over soon.

NZ clawed that back very well up until the last two-three overs when the wheels fell right off - 8 free runs in fielding misses alone.
