Can't believe Perth lost to a lineup with only three batsmen. Am rather pleased though. Shaun Marsh being stranded also a good thing.

it's almost as if your t20 batting line-up mostly relies on the success of the top 3 and from there it doesn't matter nearly as much

Ferguson's T20 record is fairly poor, but that was something else.

Highlight of the tournament so far (which is a low bar to be fair).

I didn't realise how much I hate the Scorchers until I saw the result this morning and realised that I was happy that a Sydney team had won.

We've seen multiple examples of the top 3 failing and then then the middle-lower order saving the innings this tourney

I think on balance your top 3 is what wins tournaments though. unless you're the scorchers, and your plan is to scrape 140 and win by 20 runs.

The sixers have relied a lot on their lower order too.
I was about to say "yeah but they haven't been great" but now I see that they're somehow second on the table, which tells you how closely I've been following this competition

and they'd be with hobart, miles ahead of the pack, if their top order had performed in more than like 3 games given the rest of their team

larkin is playing grade in sydney this week. i'm pretty sure it's because all the Stars players that he was covering (maddinson, etc) are back and he's had to drop out of the squad. but it's odd because I assume he can't play for any other team now

the thing is they still don’t feel great as a team. like, yes they have been impressive but i still don’t buy what they’re selling, and i’m a homer... there is every chance on any given night abbott and dwarshuis will send down nothing but short pies and get demolished... abbott has got the wickets but hasn’t impressed me at all tbh, though sok is really the glue that’s holding the bowling togetherness he’s been obscenely good

They’ve played a couple of extra games haven’t they?

Could someone just confirm for me that a Big Bash match had been scheduled at the same time as the evening session of the test match ?

Ben Dunk is the MVP for whichever team Stars happen to be playing at the time

I mean seriously the guy has been complete **** for like 2-3 years. Don't know how he plays ahead of a guy like Larkin
