He normally opens for England but seems to be coming on 3/4 change in the bbl. His spot isn't secure for the wc esp if they pick archer

Opening partnerships vs the Hurricanes, lifes good when you compare that to what Wade and Short are doing

Watching the respecting highlight reels, Wade's innings looked a lot more assured than Short's which was a bit edgy. Some of those shots from Short were hit very hard. There was a touch of Brad Haddin in the 4 he smoked down the ground.

Hi guys.

Hurricanes probably will hang on for final berth.

Tipping the other finalist is another matter at this stage it is a guess.

Nice to be here.

Arjun Nair still chucks it just as much as he did before, but his bowling is even worse. Opposition teams will be begging the umpires not to report him so he can keep bowling.

I'm pretty sure there was a ball earlier in the BBL that I thought should have been a noball because it didnt land on the pitch, so I wonder if the umps got a reminder after that

CA considers change to future schedule

In my opinion, the Test summer should run until Sydney, which would occupy its usual spot in the calendar. The Big Bash could start on Christmas Eve, by which point the Test team for Melbourne would be locked in, so there would be minimal impact on preparation for the main format.

The BBL could go back to a shorter format with the final scheduled for the Sunday of the Australia Day weekend. It would maximise crowds during the school holiday period while helping to attract white ball specialists from overseas that would otherwise play in the BPL.

T20Is and ODIs could then take place in February when no-one is paying attention any more.
