90s County Cricket draft

So, the 90s Sheffield Shield draft has been fun and its nearly done. I think it was actually a little too easy, until round 9 or so everyone was still picking highly acclaimed players and it looks like nobody will have to dip into the Scott Kremoskothens and Shawn Bradstreets, which I was kind of hoping for as a challenge.

This one will be a lot tougher, for obvious reasons. The criteria is slightly different. Itl only be open to players who represented England in internationals or were eligible to represent England but never did. If they were eligible for England and another country, they had to have played an equal or more amount of international matches for England over their other country to be valid picks. Except if that other country was a country without test status during the 90s. So, Andrew Symonds no. Gavin Hamilton yes. Graeme Hick yes.

If I allowed it to be open season like the Shield draft it'd just turn into a glorified 90s draft as so many overseas players had a go at county back then.

So other than this rule it's similar. Any englishmen/english import who played a FC game of country cricket between Jan 1st 1990 to Dec 31st 1999 is up for selection.

I'm hoping for 8-10 drafters. No more than 10.

16/8 hour rule.

When I saw the thread title I thought it was going to basically have the same teams as the 90s shield draft. Adding the qualification requirement is great.

I wouldn’t have time to join but you could include an overseas player quota as they did in the Championship, either 1 or 2?

You should join, it'd be good to have some brits participate in this.

Edit, after a bit of thought, the overseas player rule might make things too easy. I don't want to say too much but certain positions in the XI will be low on quality options and youl be forced to make trade offs which imo is a lot of fun. Those trade offs might be nullifed if everyone can just slot in an overseas ATG to fill a hole.

.... and, having given it much thought, I'll play, even though I won't be able to draft Harold Larwood

So, 7 might be enough to get this going as there's a shallow pool of talent anyway. If anyone wants to join i'll allow late entrants to join, up to 10 total until tomorrow. Then sometime tomorrow I will randomize the entire 10 rounds in one hit as it's just a lot easier.
