Not at all, he's been given a rest. He'll very likely to batting #5 and keeping in the World Cup.How far out of favour has Latham fallen?
I wondered if they may play both Seifert and Latham against India if Munro continues to fail.Yep I kinda feel Seifert is in there as a backup opener if Munro fails too many times.
Averaged low 30s in List A, slightly better in T20, and mid 40s in first classLatham did well for Durham in the one day stuff this year I think
Oh right not great then my mistake.Averaged low 30s in List A, slightly better in T20, and mid 40s in first class
I'd be tempted to have Seifert opening in the 3rd odi
Maybe, though it's a huge role for someone only making his debut today. If it is a thought for the WC squad then I too hope he gets a couple of games opening this summer as an audition.Yep I kinda feel Seifert is in there as a backup opener if Munro fails too many times.
I wouldn't go for any particular rule of thumb on this, it depends on the relative strength of the batting and bowling of each member of the side to decide what the best balance is imo.i don't believe in the idea that several mediocre 5th bowlers equals one good 5th bowler. if santa can make #7 his own then we should think about playing him plus four quicks.
Not sure why you find it weird tbh.Lol what Guptill is playing? What year is this?!
