Did Olivier bowl that well yesterday? Missed the 2nd & 3rd session. He was erratic in first session which is what I've become accustomed to with him.

Another frustrating player at 6 for SA. Looks so good at times, lots of potential and just keeps getting out in silly ways.... really hoping for a good 100 here.
You just want these guys to answer the questions to put an end to doubts. Not just Temba... here comes another Quinny.

He ran in with intensity and aggression every ball he bowled and was into the 140s most of the day and he kept running in which does seem a trait of his.

Like the first session he started with a couple of loose balls at the start of the 2nd session but then got into the groove after that. He does seem to be odd like that. Because it looks like he leaks runs and before you know it he has bowled 8 overs for 19 runs or something.

Qdk looks shaky so far. Though this ptch and situation suits his kind of batting where you can score quickly to make an impact.

His first test century was on a road to end all roads to be fair.
His almost century against AUS was downhill skiing of note as well. I think the problem is more that RSA need a batting lineup that are capable of providing him with some more downhill skiing opportunities.

A 30 run lead would be akin to a mountain here. Just goes to show the difference conditions make.

Played Temba. Leading by example in the middle order. Very impressive innings. The tempo has been everything.

Good to hear. To think he is our 5th choice bowler?

Well played Temba now go on and core the big one.

Whoa... vicious by Smith on Morris there!
That is why I have always loved the bloke ! And he has been an amazing addition to this comms team. Especially now there is no Kepler Wessels who was willing to do the hard talk.

Just imagine if he could have been around guys like Quinny early in their careers. The platform he would have created to strive for excellence.

It was a good nut tbf but until he gets that 100 again the talk will always be there.

The potential of this Shaheen Afridi is massive. Only 18.

quality innings comes to an end

Temba needs to find a way to make big runs. He certainly has a lot of talent.

Big wicket for Pak. Couple of stubborn tailenders to get through, but if they can keep SA's lead to under 50 or so it's game on.

Just as I posted that Shaheen's gaining rhythm, he bowls a ripper and gets a wicket. Gun.

I don't think there is a lack of talent in SA with regards to batting, but there is an issue with regards to mental strength amongst youngsters at the moment...
