Come on, you have to admit that was a really picture-esque live cam of NZI expect my NZ weather pictures to be of roads thank you very much.
Now that Australia has stopped making roads (MCG, pending) and pitches in all of India, UAE, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are much more result-oriented than they have been, I think a strong case could be made that NZ's pitches are the roadiest in the world. Anyone have an opposing case to make? Sure, it's not easy for batting on the first morning with a green tinge if the Kookaburra decides to swing, but after that most of our (international) pitches are just flat flat flat.New Zealand seam bowlers have the toughest job in world cricket.
Bowl on dustbowls then return home to toil away on a slow, low roady mcroad road that after day 2 any side in the world would struggle to take 1 top order wicket a day on.
Something has to be done about the University Oval and the Basin.
insufficient for today, unless it can make the water drain upwards from 20m above the surfaceHow's the drainage at the Basin?
They often aren’t that hard to bat on on the first day, either (unless you’re England). Now that Australia has stopped making roads (MCG, pending) and pitches in all of India, UAE, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are much more result-oriented than they have been, I think a strong case could be made that NZ's pitches are the roadiest in the world. Yeah it's more just the first 15-20 overs that can be tricky. They often aren’t that hard to bat on on the first day, either (unless you’re England).
Definitely not as bad as people expect when they look totally green, anyway.
My image actually updates every few minutes, so whatever you were asking about has since been lost to memory. What's that big blue thing on the back of the truck in Athers' pic of the ground?
Mine too, but I'm sure it was there through multiple refreshes. Now it's gone. The mystery of the weird (somewhat phallic, if we're being honest) blue thing. My image actually updates every few minutes, so whatever you were asking about has since been lost to memory.
