Average under 40 !

They say when the ball is moving play it late but Handscomb just takes it to all new levels and he is basically a walking wicket at this level at the moment.

They say Chris Rogers was helping Handscomb right?

Handscomb could have done very well to copy Chris Rogers' technique instead of changing nothing.

Yeah. Because literally one blade of grass touching the ball is enough to make it not out it means sweet fa that handscombe had his fingers under some of it
well the fingers could between the grass and the ball, ergo the grass is not touching the ball

Tbf, I don'tthink it's a question of perspective this time. The fingers genuinely dont seem to be under the ball there. Looked out in motion though.
perhaps a 2d still frame is an even worse representation of a 3d moving scenario than a 2d perspective-flattened one

Dunno about a blade, looks like a fair bit of it has touched the ground. It's a ****** image though so wtv.

The umpire didn't really get this image, based on what he saw I would've let the soft signal stand as well.

Yeah but it looks like his fingers couldn't even cover the entire surface area of the ball if you know what I mean

He clearly doesn't have all ten near it

Surely even if Finch is injured Handscomb can't play MCG.

With Marsh I can understand why you'd want to move on...but while the series is still alive you should still pick your best XI, and there's still worse players in the XI.

Still at effectively 4/132 I still like our position. Need these two to put on a decent partnership though.

I genuinely can't figure out why Handscomb hasn't at least changed his guard by now. Don't have to move to off-stump just stand normally. Where Virat was standing earlier today he could have straight driven it on the full all without getting his body into a horrible mess.

what you seem to be thinking of is a geometric impossibly. the ball is not that small that it could protrude out from under the hand.
