And dramatically more don't, Maxwell does have a chance as 8 tons in 100 odd innings isn't a woeful return but the idea that because he hits the ball well all around the ground he is automatically talented is guff.
maybe but no one comes to test cricket the finished article, and all need to learn the art of constructing innings against quality bowling. it's not like they magically get better at hitting the ball.

that, for example, is just poor batsmanship. although he was threatening to do that all evening tbh

Yea sorry Harris is the one who got the unplayable ball.

The last 4 piled on the runs last game. Wouldn't be surprised if they did so here. But this passage of play is so vital. Great chance to blow them out cheaply
Na he made it look harder than it was. It bounced a bit but he didn’t play it well.

But at least Australia have their actual batsmen still to come

Tbf you're not really supposed to take a big stride to a wide ball anyway. Always the danger of overbalancing.

Not saying it was well played obviously.

See *****? This is how India wins the series.

I can't believe it.
Yea look this innings has been pretty even so far, but reality will come crashing in tomorrow. Haze and Cummins are probably going to bowl us out for 80 before Khawaja hits a ton in the third innings, dedicates it to his brother, and Aus declare with a lead of 655. Travis Head then turns him arm around for a five-fer to seal the game.

It's inevitable.

Jeezus Bumrah looks deadly when he gets it right. Reminds me of Ntini at his best, only more dangerous since Ntini only ever seemed to be able to bring it in.
