I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Bilal has looked the most competent player of spin so far today.
Yea I think I was thrown off by how how throws his left arm in the air before running in. Now I'm used to it and it's actually pretty smooth.Ajaz's is a classical finger spinner action - I like it. I'll give you Somerville's, something just seems out of sync as he approaches the crease, but then it all comes together right at the release point.
Haven’t really looked closely but Somerville looks proper tall, could he be 6’3”? Ajaz is probably about 5’6”, as I say I’ve played against him before but wasn’t really thinking about his heightthoughts on the heights of the two daybootant spinners th?
were you feeling ok?I’ve played against him before but wasn’t really thinking about his height
He took some big hauls before the England series IIRC and seems to have the better of FC batsmen in Nz these days.Sodhi's stock would've fallen dramatically with this series.
Definitely a mixed home season to say the least. 1-0 against Aus and 1-2 or a 1-1 escape against NZ are both below expectations I would think.Nothing makes me question my life choices and my place in the universe more than the performances of this team
Funny. I always quite liked Harbhajan's action.I found it hideous but some people like it. Too many flailing arms and odd angles for me.
Aesthetics is all subjective tho. And Ajaz is growing on me now
This is me talking out my arse, but I feel like Somerville is watching the batsman closely all the way through the point of release and is adjusting what he's going to bowl right up to the last possible moment. The jerkiness of the long-limbed run-up just helps to disguise the variation that he gets - he does mix it up quite a lot.Yea I think I was thrown off by how how throws his left arm in the air before running in. Somerville still bugs me. Something weird about it.
