Whatever happened to the batsman who showed vast reserves of application at Colombo 2012. Think we need to get Gary Stead to feud with him.Taylor series score 3/10 - has looked completely incapable of staying at the crease for long, even on the one occasion he got a start. Played like a best case scenario Colin. Also missed a vital chance on the first morning of the second test.
Memories of the last tour to UAE? A counter-attacking century on day 4 turned around a likely loss into a 5th day declaration and possible win. IIRC he was cutting the SLA off middle.I can appreciate what Taylor was doing....
Think 3 is generous. Only scored runs in the innings when a match was already lost.Taylor series score 3/10 - has looked completely incapable of staying at the crease for long, even on the one occasion he got a start. He was trying to keep it down tbf. Afridi outplayed him.It was fine for Taylor to take a risk on a start like that against Yasir Shah when he's been a walking wicket to him first few overs of his innings. Was totally unnecessary though, once he was on twenty odd, to hit Afridi who he has few problems playing, in the air with the man back.

That said, if there's any situation when we need him to pull a blinding century out of his butt...When it gets to his turn it's last chance saloon for Colin to prove he's not a write off away from home.
Wasn't sure how much he tried to roll his wrists, would have to see another replay. Good bowling yes, Taylor didn't need to play it of course but he'd decided he was going to flash at everything. He was trying to keep it down tbf. Afridi outplayed him.
Well done to Shaheen but Ross will be hurting that guy just over half his age and very little experience got the better of him there. He was trying to keep it down tbf. Afridi outplayed him.
