*Official* England Tour of Sri Lanka 2018

The ground scoreboard does it for the England players, even more weirdly. Some first names, some surnames, some initials.

If Burns gets a decent score in the 2nd innings I think this might end up being the perfect tour for England; almost too perfect actually because I have no idea who is going to get left out in the West Indies tour when we will play two spinners at most. Rashid's 5 on a generally flat track proves that the variation he provides is almost always worth having, even if he can be pretty irrelevant in some games like the Lords test this summer. Some really good selection headaches going forward

England have so many potential bowling combinations, it's ridiculous.

what;s going on here?
My words exactly. When I left to watch my daughter's football match, we'd just taken the 2nd wicket and Rashid was finding some turn. But nothing to suggest 240 ao.
You can see the benefit of having so many bowling options; Moeen having an off day wasn't the end of the world because Rashid did so well. Having not seen any of it, what's the verdict on Rashid today? Great bowling or poor batting?

EDIT
Just seen the highlights. Jennings is rather good at short leg, isn't he.

Damn it... I was at the match today, and this was a sad collapse. Stokes was really the key. Mathews was playing the bouncer, but Mendis was leaving them. Losing Mathews at that point was crucial.

Nevertheless toothless batting by SL.

This is going to be 3-0 all the way.

English variety in the attack is just unbelievable. They need to find a Chinaman to become complete.

Southern press will be gutted, they loved talking up the first test being won by Surrey. Bet there is no mention of the northern powerhouse winning this one.

Quality four off Sandakan by Buttler. Hope he doesn't get himself out going overboard again. Good use of the feet.

That's how you bully a spinner who's out of his depth. Great stuff. Sandakan is too flat for that pace.

Root sir need to wait for next test for World record of
4th consecutive year with 2000 international runs but Ben Stokes need 56 more for 3000 test runs in 49 test.

Pressure reverse so quickly
