Perhaps the overriding conclusion is that England should never, under any circumstances, leave out Sam Curran; even if that means him taking the field in a wheelchair.
Seven wins out of seven since his debut. In his absence, we had the debacle at Trent Bridge, and now this one isn't looking too clever.

Stokes has bowled superbly but truly ordinary cricket from Sri Lanka. They have only been whitewashed at home twice, going to be the third time here.

What's with the weird mix of first and last names? (I know there are a lot of Silvas but...)
I've noticed TV overlays for Sri Lankan names have tended towards a "whichever name is less common" rule. "Dhananjaya" was confusing at times in the first couple of Tests though, given the player I tended to think of as Dhananjaya was referred to as Akila.
