Fun game, must say loi series between India - Australia have almost always been very enjoyable in the past few years or so..

Great game to watch. India screwed up by sending Rahul ahead of Kohli imo. Kohli's perfect at 3 but any lower and his value to the team decreases drastically. He's not someone who can hit out from the get go and he's also not someone who'll waste a start like Rahul did.

Seriously when will they learn? They are so intent on fitting Rahul in the scheme of things that they're wasting their trump card.

Geez, Marcus Harris is putting up a compelling case for the Test team

Most Shield runs from 2016/17 season to present day

1951 @ 47.58, 5 x 100

Only 26 years old, and the youngest Australian to score a First-Class 150

And could the Hard Man of Australian cricket make a stunning return?

Matt Wade this Summer in Shield 412 @ 82.4, 1 x 100

Test centurion too

But would he fall foul of the "good bloke" criterion for selection?

Might keep a passive eye watching Andrew McDonald at Victoria. He's spruiking Harris for test opener and not without reason. Interestingly he indirectly claims credit batting Finch in the middle order which has coincided with probably that player's best fc run in his career. Anyway he's beginning to impress with a quiet attitude and players improving under his guidance. When the Langer experiment goes arse over tit maybe they could look at him as national coach.

Good on him too for standing his ground and leaving Finch in the middle order for the upcoming Shield match next week

Story about it today in the newspapers

FMD Handscomb. That’s tragic.

Finch will definitely open in that squad I imagine.

Finch
Harris
Khawaja
Darsh

MMarsh

Will probably be the top six.

Edit: I see Head has been retained. He’ll probably play and bat five.
