Is Hobart still a batting friendly ground? Remember when Kohli and co. chased down 320 odd in 36 odd overs here.

I think it's probably the most English of Australian grounds (i.e. seamy in Tests but small enough it can be a mega road in ODI's). I might be wrong though.

Need to follow Faf/Miller's MO of willing to go slow for about 10 overs and then hitting out late if we're to chase this down, unless Finch and Head put on like 150. Trouble is no-one's really in their class other than Finch, certainly none of the middle order is.

Fantastic from Miller.

After this innings Miller better not give us a bunch of good looking 20's for the next 15 innings. This needs to be consistent.

It looks like a good batting deck. It's quickened up since the start of the South African innings.

I was going to say this. I think you will get quite a few similar conditions for the WC in England. Similar weather conditions and type of pitch.

So South Africa were 2/27 off the first ten overs. The deck was holding up a bit to start with but it flattened out and got a bit quicker as the day went on. To get 320+ though was a monumental effort from Faf and Miller. It's one for the textbooks. Modern ODI batsmen would have panicked at 3/50 off the first 17 or so overs and gotten all out. This was a textbook display of how to build a respectable total when you lose a few early wickets. Fantastic batting by both Miller and Du Plesis aided by a little bit of luck and a little bit of terrible fielding. But full credit to the batsmen who never panicked.
