Nah, the bats not going on with their starts is the story of this game even if they win.
I meant in the reduced context of this bowling effort. It should be blatantly obvious that the batting was the match losing factor.

Uuuurggh he is disgusting to watch bat and now it complicates matters with Steyn 8 KG 9 - tough on Miller

After the Zim series Miller went to Hilton College so that Dale Benkenstein could throw 100s and 100s of balls. Fair play to him as he was struggling a touch.

Ooooh Australia going to bowl out Starc and Stoinis and then have 5 of Zampa's overs left if it gets to that.

Good effort by Australia, should be favorites from here. That 10th wicket partnership really coming back to haunt SA now.

Something SA need to sort. Last 2 wickets also put on a bit in the first ODI.

After a busy morning.... it comes down to who has the best potential 10th wicket stand? Or is this the comparison of who has the poorest batting line-up?

They are quite bad aren't they. The batting units that is.

England and India just hold all the cards. New Zealand and Pakistan are interesting for differing reasons.

The crowd reactions are reminding me of England crowds when they give standing ovations to plucky 30's

Pretty nifty ball from Starc though. Nice to see a little reverse, not seen enough with the 'refuse to acknowledge kookaburra is crap and give them twice as much income instead' rule.

Another game Miller hasn't taken home. South African tail is too long but the three quicks and Tahir is the way to go. Markram and Klaasen need to step up.

To me the #7 position is the glue. It gives the batsmen a chance to build a partnership before our tailenders and we just don't have it. D.Pretorius 14 off 32 sucked the life out of Millers innings and he hardly got strike and for some time now we haven't batted deep , it isn't any surprise AB and Miller or even JP hasn't been able to take us home when the pressure is all on them when they get in. The other side just collapases.
