Warner & Smith obvz walk straight back in. Got to find the other 5 though. Ok maybe harsh on Finch. I'm hoping Khawaja gets the # 3 spot with Smith #4

#5 to #7 includes a keeper and then 2 other batting options.

I assume the plan was to play Morris next game? If we win this, could we see all three of Andile, Pretorius and Morris play?
Possibly. I think they reckon #7 is too high for Morris so is strike-bowler back-up ? If 1 of Steyn, Ngidi, KG go down.

If they really fancy Hulk (our friend Dwaine) then you start looking at 1 of the batting positions under pressure.

Just as an aside, Steyns been our best bowler in these 2 games. Control, threatening looks really good. Just not taken the wickets.

As he takes one!

Want Steyn to nail Carey to seal Australia's fate but also want Carey to come good.

Man it would make things easy if Maxwell just found his 2015 WC form again.

Dobbly medium pace is such anathema to Australian cricket culture that no-one can ever get accepted doing it so no wonder we're crap against it.

Matthew Wade would fancy his chances against this batting.

Morris is definite back-up strike bowler..... honestly if Duminy plays we really don't need 3 all rounders in the WC squad. It just becomes which 2 to take. I wonder if Hulk :) may be better in English conditions.

Well at least or batting has been better than at Perth. Still a chance to put over 200 on the board.

Faf has stressed the need for strike-bowling options. I reckon we will always go in with 4 out 5 being that so will need Morris as back-up.

For me it is one of Hendricks/Markram who misses out if Hulk cracks it. Don't need that many top-order batsmen when Duminy and Faf can easily bat 3/4

I really think the plan is to play Markram at 3. Reeza back-up top order. Klaasens back-up wk/lower order bat.

That may be. It might be what they trying to find answers for but I would hate to go into the WC and lose 1 of our strike seam-bowling options and rely on Lucky and Hulk to get through 10 overs vs England/India.

What’s worse about this collapse is 1. it being 100% predictable and 2. it being at home. That’s the sort of **** I expect from Zimbabwe, not Australia.

Lovely to see the great man bowling so well, in these 2 matches.
10 2-31

It was damn sweet seeing him bowling full throttle against Zim - Knocking 150 at times and it was warm-up for this which excited me. Been relentless here. Is he really 35 and touching 150 ?
