I'd understand if it was an innocuous incident, but running 60 yards to start fist pumping and screaming in the opposition benches face whilst already on a yellow card is not really a debatable one. His face actually reads that he believes his innocence too. I suppose we already knew he was a bit simple when he thought signing for Sunderland was a good career move...

Shocker for Arzani. Stretchered off after 20 in his first game. Saying he's likely done his ACL and the season is gone for him.

This is a major blow for such a talented young player I do feel Man city will rue his loss tremendously as he was an up and coming talent. Only the scan will determine if this is a very serious injury.

Huge blow for the kid but knee surgeries aren't the death sentences they used to be. He's young and will be okay. He was never gonna play for City anyways, he'll probably end up being sold to a Championship side in 3 years or so for a healthy profit ala Mooy and so many other youth products. Hopefully Brahim and Foden don't go down that route, but if they do hopefully they make it big like Sancho.

Sancho is an interesting one. Given the amount of non-UK players in the Premier League, you'd expect more UK players to go abroad as Sancho has done. Hopefully he'll influence others into at least giving the option thought.

Seem to be a few more of them doing that (or going overseas on loan) - think Lookman was the first to demand it in spite of his luddite of a ****head prick manager not wanting him to do it.

Hope Leicester win today but Cardiff at 12/5 look a superb bet as I doubt Leicester will be there in all reality.

What's the consensus on the European Super League idea? Apparently it'd have a number of permanent members and a number of "guests". I don't like the idea of permanent members and that they include Arsenal but not Ajax. No disrespect to Arsenal, but if permanent membership was on the basis of football then Ajax with their four European Cups would surely be ahead of Arsenal. Also bare in mind that AC Milan would be a permanent member, which would imply deference for their history given their lack of recent success. The elephant in the room here is the finance which could be generated by a team like Arsenal with their millions of fans. But then, surely that would go against footballing meritocracy which such a league should be about.

To talk of Arsenal 'fans' - how many of them are actual Arsenal through and through and how many have Arsenal as their 'English club'? Put them in the same league as Barca, Real etc and see who still cheers on Arsenal every week.
Likewise, to include those who support Arsenal within the EPL context and not give Ajax credit for the worldwide respect they have for their history and style is disingenuous. I'd wager in a Super League Ajax would be just as popular as Arsenal with International fans.
