Looking forward to seeing how our batsmen fare against India's top 2 pacers. If they can still do well against them as well I will know we are onto something. I'd still like to see Fabian Allen get a chance in place of Bishoo, but I think they'll keep the same team.
Yeah, at this point...you can try anyone instead of Bishoo

Look up best ever ICC rankings for a close approximation. As I said in another thread, Kohli's peak rating in ODIs is only 6th among batsmen which is surprising.
What is weird is he has dropped in points since the England ODI series. Doesn't make much sense to me but there it is.

Needs dropping altogether. Can’t win the World Cup carrying a 76 year old veteran. Loved Dhoni in his prime but I hope this is serious and they’re weening him out of all sides.

The freakish thing is his conversion rate - once he's got to a 50, he's probably more likely than anyone else (ever in ODIs) to get to that 100.

Sachin had a just better 1:2 ratio of 50s to 100s. Kohli has a better than 3:4 ratios at the moment. Sanga had a 1:4 ratio, Ponting's was closer to 1:3 ratio.

Very few are even close to the 1:2 mark, no one else is above it from the top run getters apart from Kohli (and Sachin marginally).

Allen batting eight seems really odd to me. Surely if you're going to pick him he should be batting at least seven. There are lots of players more suited to play as a bowling allrounder.

For context, in his last First Class game his team used eight bowlers including Jermaine Blackwood, and he wasn't one of them. 96 overs of spin between four spinners in his team, and he didn't bowl.

I know his bowling is taken a bit more seriously in limited overs cricket, and I agreed with the decision to bring him in for Bishoo, but FFS he was on a hiding to nothing in the role he's been picked in.
