That's Hong Kong for you mate. it's why they're but a geopolitical, gastronomic and cricketing footnote.

I don't know what gully cricket is but that story really has me wtf'ing. Someone just giving up on a game to start a new one because they were losing? The other team was happy with that?
I read it as a forfeit. They started the new game because they thought they couldn't possibly win the existing one and it was pointless playing out the loss to the end.

Gully cricket is street cricket, for the culturally ignorant amongst you
I played a bit of gully Cricket. My team was Green Gully. That is the one where we met DeSilva, though he might have been playing for the team on the neighbouring oval.

well he literally got himself out hitwicket. I think we were playing 2vs2 or 3vs3, and his wicket signalled the end of the game effectively. Last man out.

Actually makes more sense now. Presumably once he saw you shuffle out at #11 he knew there was no point playing on.

Most teams have a DeSilva tbh

Must have been a proper minefield to give up like that
UAE's actually pretty clean isn't it? At least when it comes to weaponised explosives lying around and what not. It's no Iraq or Afghanistan

Wow. How long is it going to be before this douchebag gets banned for his casual racist remarks? FMD.

It's just a bit poor of you to profile a whole section of the world like that and imply that middle-eastern countries are ridden with landmines by default. In the long run I don't really care and am by no means trying to be a PC hero.

FYI the UAE is made up of the local Emiratis, who live tax free, and foreign workers, mostly from the SC. It's "clean" appearance lies much in the fact that it is a billionaire's playground, and is hopefully not going to be subject to an American invasion sometime soon.

Yeah, no, I was doing the opposite if you actually read my post carefully and see what I was responding to. It's poor from you to clearly not even read someone's post properly, then label them a racist douchebag, then repeat back to said racist douchebag basically exactly what he said, yourself in your own words as a form of correction.

Sorry I didn't read your post properly. Your posts just aren't that good of a read to be honest.

Nice to see hb come out of the woodwork with his typically constructive contributions. Obviously grown as a person . . .

What an excellent cricketing thread that was derailed by habitual shitposters. Shame.
