Just saw that. It's probably the latest point in a season that Alaves have been top of La Liga for 10 years.

Can any of our non-British legion (bloody broadcasting laws- you can barely get a seat at some Premiership grounds) confirm that the Murray injury is as bad as it sounds? Nasty stuff.

City look so good.

They could basically have finished the league last round if they'd scored that penalty against Liverpool.

To be fair he has the not insubstantial issue of the club recently losing of the best players/most proflic goalscorers of all time to deal with.

Yeah was always going to be tough with that happening. Add in the squad is quite old anyway and it almost an impossible job.

What's the general consensus around Emery's Arsenal? Fans have been chanting "we've got our Arsenal back" and they have a nine game winning streak. But then how do their games against Man City and Chelsea fit into this? It seems a bit optimistic to say they've "got their Arsenal back" because that would imply they're genuine title contenders which they don't feel like.

This will sound like excuse making but that was the worst time to face those two.

Depending on whether the games are home or away then I'd want one, possibly two wins from the games against Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs.

That seems fair. They face Liverpool in a few weeks, and, whilst Liverpool are still getting points, they're not in top form. Arsenal may well take something out of that match.

For a guy not very good at actually scoring goals, Özil produced some pretty amazing finishes from time to time.
