It is fair to say that Jadeja deserves his rating in this exercise as much as Anderson and Lillee, even half way through his career. He might surpass Jimmy once he finishes. The condition dependency of Jadeja and Anderson and their mediocrity elsewhere is for every one to see. Lillee's mediocrity in alien conditions is not proven to the same extent because he chose not to travel as much due to food, pollution, back injury or whatever. Hence he will always be ahead of those two in the eyes of many people. All three can be bucketed together in the same class as bowlers. Jadeja's superior batting and fielding takes him to another level as an overall cricketer.

The real all time greats ( Marshall, Mcgrath, Hadlee, Steyn, Ambrose) perform every where irrespective of conditions. Lillee, Anderson, Jadeja , Alderman and several more bully opponents in favorable circumstances and are mediocre else where, hence a level or two below ATGs. Hard to accept ? Leave it.

Anderson is picked to play wherever the game is, Jadeja is left out of the side when conditions are against him.
