Mackin really has fallen off a long way. His action has completely gone to gash, he's more or less just collapsing through the bowling crease. As a result he isn't getting the steep bounce off a length he can generate, and his accuracy has suffered too. Unfortunate really.

Very positive signs that Pucovski turned both his 50+ scores into big daddy 150+ scores. If he can reduce his concussion problems (and it's frustrating that our two younger bats who are proven big ton scorers have struggled here) then we've got a real star on our hands.

I had a bit of a feeling he might have a good Shield season with the ball after watching him in the JLT. He was bowling proper outswingers in good areas rather than the back of a length stuff that has typically made him a better one day bowler than he is a four day bowler.
