There needs to be a serious answer to the question of putting a bloke who has had previous concussions in the spot in the field where he is most likely to get a concussion.Fielding at short leg he got hit by a full blooded shot.

I'll rinse your mouth out with soap. When Labuschagne is playing then yeah it's completely nuts.
I'm not sure what qualities Renshaw has in terms of short leg fielding anyway. The funny thing is, though I may be basing my impressions off a substitute catch he took years ago, I thought Labuschange was't bad at it. It's almost like short leg is a position to sacrifice the out-of-favour players rather than being filled by the best person for the role. There needs to be a serious answer to the question of putting a bloke who has had previous concussions in the spot in the field where he is most likely to get a concussion.
Dont forget that the squad was named before the completion of the match where Labuschagne made a pair.I'd actually disagree. I like Marnus Labuschagne, don't get me wrong. But he made 60, 37 and and a pair in the second match of the FC portion of the A series. Handscomb didn't fare much better, but if you forget Maxwell for a moment (really get into the mind of a selector on this one) and put Handscomb against Marnus. I don't see how taking Marnus will be better.
You're just giving a debut to a guy before his time has come and sacrificing him in a series with a foregone conclusion.
Usman still hasn't redeemed himself for his previous work at bat-pad, should have bit the bullet.Dont forget that the squad was named before the completion of the match where Labuschagne made a pair.
Also regarding Renshaw at batpad, you go through the XI that played and the only other potential fielder there would be Trav Head who wouldnt be fielding there ever for SA being captain.
Pretty sure. This is only on Fox right?
They're injured (or they were, in the case of Cummins)Haven't followed the lead up to the series, but wow, no Maxwell, no Handscombe? Where are Cummins and Hazlewood? Why Holland over O'Keefe?
Would rather face Starc, he may bowl a great ball occasionally but just trype in between them. Sidds asking questions straight awayLooks like Hafeez is doing everything in his power to avoid facing siddle.
At home in a post-Misbah, post-Younis world, Hafeez is a must. Haters gonna hate and he shouldn't play in SA (not that I expect whoever they'd pick in his place to do much better, unless it was Sami Aslam which it sadly won't be) but he definitely increases their chances of winning this series. They'll never get rid of Hafeez, will they?
He'll probably have a good run in these UAE tests, get picked to open in SA, and promptly get rekt by Steyn and company.
