Has Burns overtaken him? Nevertheless, it's rather silly not to pick Renshaw. But you were talking about them not picking the highest FC run scorer in the world this year?

Langer came out and said that he was fine but that he hadn't spent enough time in the middle.Renshaw was picked for the tour match over Labuschange. Therefore, there's little doubt in my mind that Renshaw is not fit rather than dropped
Fielding at short leg he got hit by a full blooded shot. How did Renshaw sustain his latest concussion? Bounced in the nets?
Then they should say that. Simply say "We don't feel like Renshaw has fully recovered from the concussion" and leave it at that. No need to come out with bollocks like saying he hasn't had enough time in the middle.Langer can say whatever nonsense he wants to publicly, I don't for a second think they feel comfortable sending Renshaw out there so soon after what I think is his fourth concussion, and it's not because he didn't get a bat in the warm up
but who knows, he may well end up on the field as 12th man and put under the lid at short leg.
Why was he even at short-leg. He's a slips man and not even the new guy anymore.Fielding at short leg he got hit by a full blooded shot.
Bloody ridiculous too, given he’s arguably the best slipper in AustraliaFielding at short leg he got hit by a full blooded shot.
I field there because I can't run.Very often I think slip is populated by people there for reasons other than their ability.
I agree Marnus hasn’t shown enough to prove he’s an international cricketer. But despite his tons has Handscomb really? Not since his technique has been found out and he has trouble with full balls which to anyone else is a full bunger or to short balls aimed at his left armpit. He’s a wicket opportunity for rank bad bowling in the first instance and too easy a wicket for the second option. Marnus at least doesn’t have those technical deficiencies and until Handscomb overcomes them I’d pick almost anyone over him.I'd actually disagree. I like Marnus Labuschagne, don't get me wrong. But he made 60, 37 and and a pair in the second match of the FC portion of the A series. Handscomb didn't fare much better, but if you forget Maxwell for a moment (really get into the mind of a selector on this one) and put Handscomb against Marnus. I don't see how taking Marnus will be better.
You're just giving a debut to a guy before his time has come and sacrificing him in a series with a foregone conclusion.
