my point still stands. Rayudu is not bad, Pandey is just better.
Pandey comfortably outperformed him and everyone else in that A team triseries too. 300 runs in 4 games without even being dismissed once. Surprised he didn't get the nod.

Don't think they have tried to play their best team here. Treating it, rightfully, as a warm up game, I suppose.

If Pandey could just bowl some tidy ODI filth he'd be in the XI tbh. Should spend some time in the nets with Kedar working on his bowling. Or even just figure out how to bowl some wicket to wicket slow mediums.

Just when it finally looked like Jadhav's career bowling average was beginning to approach the mid 30s, this happens.

Do you mean this XI or India's first XI?

Pandey doesn't need to bowl to break into this XI. There are two keepers (one part time) selected as middle order batsmen lol.

And if you're talking first XI, I don't think he can make it there either. He's a top order player and pretty poor batting anywhere below 4 imo.

India are stacked when it comes to guys who can bat in the top 4 and accumulate so Pandey isn't needed unless people get injured.
