Basically that. Cricket against sides like India is so rare, it doesn't make sense to only get 20 odd overs of bowling against them. Might as well bowl first, get some good experience of bowling/fielding to an elite batting unit, and then come out and have a bat.
We haven't bowled all that badly, it's just be toothless. Nothing in it for the bowlers, and these guys aren't quick enough to be trouble Dhawan and Rohit with pace. Gotta have pinpoint accuracy, lose your line slightly and you get hit.
