This is a massive loss. But SL will be back at their best come the next series.

congrats to Afghanistan who were deserved winners.. I really don't know what else to say about SL apart from get rid of the majority of that team in ODI's and start again with players who are actually interested in playing for their country rather than their ego's or bank balances via sponsors. IMO the only ones who should stay are De Silva, Dickwella, Kusal Perera(yes I know it was a filthy shot yesterday),Akila, Chameera, Thisara. - Kusal Mendis should stick to tests. Chamdimal to come in as captain.
bring in players such as Samarawickrema,Asalanka, Priyanjan, Vishwa Fernando, Kumara, Rajitha, Sandakan, Gunathilake.
First and foremost, get everyone onto a fitness programme. I cant believe how these guys look physically as top level sports people..
Second, performance related pay with a small basic and big win bonus payments.
Third, get rid of corruption at SLC which leads to selection of players based on who they know or which school they went to rather than based on their ability or their attitude ( in that I mean players like Dilshan and now Dickwella and Dilruwan in tests weren't greats in terms of ability but I would always pick them as they were street fighters)
Fourth: Fix the cricket system in SL , currently there are too many top tier teams leading to poor quality players. As a result players are scoring runs for fun and taking wickets left right and centre at domestic level thinking they are superstars but then they get to the real world in terms of internationals and the results are clear..
that's it. rant over.i don't expect us to win every game, but I do expect those who pull on our national shirt to give their best and I honestly don't think these guys are bothered.
