Too bad.is this English? I don't understand
Murali's absolute peak was 2000-2008 though. That was the time he bulldozed through defenses of batsmen. Later the spin lessened, and he was making use of experience to get batsmen. Sehwag around 2009-10 against Murali fo 2004ish would have been one hell of a contest. Still would give 60-40 to Shewag. The other one I like to see is Saqlain of 1999 against Shewag at peak. That of course would be much more even.Murali said the toughest he bowled to was Lara
Sehwag absolutely dominated Murali in his peak at home.2008 when Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly and VVS struggled against Mendis and Murali, Shewag wasn't rattled, and he kept on attacks
You’re obviously about to provide it then?Bro seems like u want a bull dozer of bullshit.
1990-2010 of the top 5 wicket takers against BD 4 were spinners.Bangla was worse because, they got decimated by pace. They were pretty OK players of spin.
Murali has better figures against England, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe than Warne. Let them play equal number of matches against each of these oppositions from their complement of matches, Murali would still be at the front.Yes its incredible isn't it? Its amazing how much better off Murali would have been playing more often against England but can't see that Warne would've benefitted playing BD and Zim more often than he did. Its almost as if you have to open your other eye to see that.
Murali, herath, Kaneria and Vettori is the only odd name. You expect Asian spinners to dominate Asian teams one time or the other. ANd this is what happened when they toured. Pacers average 12-18 against Ban. Good spinners as well. But when Collins, Sammy, Streak, Holder and Fernando average peanuts against them, you know the problem.1990-2010 of the top 5 wicket takers against BD 4 were spinners.
Well yeah in Warne's 1 match against Zimbabwe in his career he averaged 22 which isn't as good as Murali averaged in his 14 matches against Zimbabwe.Yes its incredible isn't it? Fair point, but haven't seen the same logic when discussing Sangakkara's record or Murali's record in Australia.^ You can't judge players on a small number of tests.
Judges Warne on 3 tests.
Have another look. The worst spinner average against them was 27. All but one or two averaged less than 20 against them. Some so so names too. They had a problem with all sorts of bowling and bowlers.Murali, herath, Kaneria and Vettori is the only odd name. You expect Asian spinners to dominate Asian teams one time or the other. I learnt that Warne averages 21.94 in England and Murali averages 19.20. 6 matches for Murali 48 wickets, 22 matches would have resulted in 176 compared to Warne's 129. Super unlucky, yeah.I also learned that Murali's average of 20 against England compared to Warne's average of 23 (I guess that 63% of Murali's games against England being in generally spin-friendly Sri Lanka doesn't matter) means that Murali was super unlucky that he didn't get to play against them as much as Warne did.
If you compare the two its fair. If you compare Warne and Murali it isn't. Because the discrepancy in tests is minimal btwn Sanga and Murali in Oz. Its vast between Warne and Murali in the comparison you are making.Fair point, but haven't seen the same logic when discussing Sangakkara's record or Murali's record in Australia.
